California Burger

Surf’s up calories down. These juicy ground pork burgers are made from a naturally leaner pork. Sweet carrots and just a drop of hot pepper sauce give this burger a warm and inviting West Coast flavor.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 pound Smithfield Lean Generation ground pork
1 t. ground black pepper
1/4 t. salt
3 drops hot pepper sauce
1 grated carrot
3 T. chopped parsley

Steps:

Gently mix together ground pork and seasonings shape into 4 burgers about 3/4-inch in thickness. Place over moderately hot coals in a kettle-style grill lower hood and grill for 5 minutes; turn and finish grilling 4 to 5 minutes more. Serve immediately on sandwich buns if desired.
